Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Antiracism (DEIA) Program Coordinator
Quin Nelson '16 (he/him/his) returned to Whitman College in July of 2022 as the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Antiracism (DEIA) Program Coordinator. Since graduating from Whitman with an English and Economics degree, he earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College.
In his previous experience, Nelson served in a variety of roles in education and equity. He sought to build just communities through care and curiosity. He has served in equity leadership roles at multiple schools, including as an alumni consultant for Whitman’s Land, Water, Justice course which began this past academic year.
A Pacific Northwest lifer, Nelson is excited to get back to Walla Walla and explore its trail running and arts scenes.
