President's Scholarship in Art
If you have exceptional talent, experience, and demonstrated skill in art and intend to at least minor in art, we invite you to apply for a President's Scholarship in Art.
The scholarship meets all of the student's demonstrated financial need when combined with scholarships or grants from all other sources, which can amount to the full cost of tuition, housing, and other fees for the given year. Precise scholarship amounts will be listed in the student's financial aid award letter. Financial need is determined annually by the Financial Aid office using data from both the FAFSA and CSS Profile.
How to Apply
You must apply to Whitman before you apply for a President's Scholarship. After you apply to Whitman through the Common App, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to log into the applicant portal. The application for the President's Scholarship in Art, and details about how to apply, are available through the portal. The application deadline for all candidates is Feb. 3, 2019.
Maintaining Your Scholarship
If you are awarded a Presidential Scholarship in Art, you will be required to earn an average GPA of 3.0 or higher in your Art department courses during your four years at Whitman to maintain your scholarship.
