Why you chose Whitman: I chose Whitman because it allows me to be a student-athlete, as well as fully live my life in all other aspects. At Whitman, being a student is a priority, however I am able to be on the Women's soccer team, be a part of Greek Life, have on-campus jobs and volunteer, while still putting my academics first. On top of all this, I was still able to study abroad, which was a huge criteria for my decision. I also chose Whitman because of the community atmosphere that is created by the small class sizes and the fact that professors genuinely want you to succeed but still push you to think critically and engage in class. I love the fact that when I walk around campus, I recognize almost every face I see.

Favorite things to do in Walla Walla: I go off campus to study at cafes, occasionally for dinner, monthly food truck nights, the weekly farmers market and go out to the Wheat fields. I am also an active member of the community as I had two internships in Walla Walla and mentor at the elementary school.

Favorite spot on campus: Reid Campus Center, because of the Chihuly chandelier

What advice you'd give yourself when you were going through the college process: Choose a college based on how you feel when you visit. I decided I wanted to come to Whitman after walking around campus for about 5 minutes.

Best class you've taken on campus: Psychology and Law, it uses psychology and applies it to real world circumstances to address issues in the law system in order to improve the way our legal system functions.

Favorite campus traditions: Taq in the wheat fields, pictures on Stix.
