What I love about Whitman: I love the community.  Everyone here is warm, welcoming, and student-centered.  I also love the Outdoor Program, the peer-based learning, and the strength of Global Programs and study abroad.  Whitman has more than 80 partner programs abroad!

Why I enjoy working in Admission: I get to work with prospective students and families across the Greater Seattle and Puget Sound region and am based on the Eastside. I love connecting with students, learning about their academic and career goals, and dreaming together about what they want to pursue.

Favorite activities in Walla Walla: Eating at the many wonderful restaurants, hiking and skiing in the Blue Moutains, and petting as many dogs on campus as I can!

My favorite place on campus: The Climbing Center. Over 7,000 square feet of climbable wall, for all levels, and a welcoming crowd whether you have climbed for years or are trying for the first time.

Fun fact(s) about me: I love to surf, watch soccer, and do anything outdoors: SUP, ski, hike, climb, kayak, swim, cycle.  I lived in Kyoto, Japan for nearly a decade and am fluent in Japanese.  I have been to all 50 states.  And I love dogs, particularly Golden Retrievers.
