What I love about Whitman: The stunning campus, the wonderful people, and the deep commitment to a rigorous liberal arts education. Whitman really is a model for what a top-notch liberal arts college should be; it is immensely rewarding to work with students who fall in love with Whitman and thrive when they join our community.

Why I enjoy working in Admission: Applying to college is a great opportunity for students to consider weighty questions about who they are and what they hope for, but it can also be confusing and stressful. I enjoy helping families navigate the process in a way that demystifies the world of college admissions and helps them focus on important questions about identity and aspiration. I can’t help but feel optimistic about the future when I get to interact with so many bright, motivated students every year.

Favorite Activities in Walla Walla: Sweets games, backyard BBQs, watching the ducklings in spring, affogatos at the Patisserie, Whitman IM sports, harvesting/eating fresh food from our garden, and walking to Pioneer Park with my wife and daughters.

My Favorite Place on Campus: The tennis courts – I’d play every day if I could!

Fun Fact(s) About Me: My first job after college was playing baseball in France, thereby fulfilling my boyhood dream of becoming a professional baseball player.
