The Whitman Undergraduate Conference annually celebrates the scholarship and creativity of Whitman students over the course of a day dedicated entirely to their achievements.

The conference brings together students from every academic area of the college to share their research and creative projects with the campus community and interested public.

The conference is noteworthy for its variety of presentations, from oral and poster presentations to musical performances to special exhibitions.

Conference presentations reflect original work produced by Whitman students through course study, senior theses, faculty-student collaborative research, independent projects, summer fellowships and internships, and study abroad.

The conference is organized by the Office of Fellowships and Grants. For more information contact office director Keith Raether at

"The process of preparing for the Undergraduate Conference gave me a chance to reflect on my own ideas. Presenting these ideas to others solidifies my own knowledge."
