Kimberly Mueller

Director of Health Professions Advising

Kimberly Mueller joined the Whitman community as Director of Health Professions Advising in 2015, bringing two decades of academic advising experience to the role. She supports Whitman students from their first year through graduation and beyond, partnering with them so they can make informed decisions and reach their goals.

Working with diverse students focused on different majors and interests, she strives to create a welcoming environment and opportunities for educational and career exploration of the health professions through advising, programming, and campus and community partnerships. Students are encouraged to self-reflect on their academic and extracurricular experiences, and she helps them identify and discuss how those experiences have prepared them for a health career of service.

In addition to her advising duties, Mueller enjoys serving as the club advisor for Whitman’s Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Pre-Health Society and SOS Volunteer Club.

Beyond Whitman, she is a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions and a board member of the Western Association of Advisors for the Health Professions. She volunteers as board chair of SOS Health Services of Walla Walla, a local nonprofit providing free health care to the uninsured and those in need.
