Hickman Digital Art Studio
Located within Fouts Center for Visual Arts, the Hickman Digital Art Studio is a dynamic space designed to support a wide range of creative practices across digital media, photography, printmaking, and more. The studio is equipped with professional grade tools for creating digital works, large-format printing, 3D fabrication, scanning, and multimedia production. High quality displays, computers, and industry-standard software support both individual exploration and collaborative work in a digitally immersive environment.
The studio is used extensively by students enrolled in courses such as New Media, Photography, and Printmaking, and is also integrated into special topics like Game Design, Collage, and Drawing. General access is reserved for students currently enrolled in art classes to ensure the safe and productive use of the space. In addition to class use, the studio supports a range of student-led creative activities. Art related clubs such as the Art Club and Photo Club regularly meet and work in the studio, creating a hub for artistic collaboration and exploration outside of classes. If you are part of a club or are engaged in coursework or research that would benefit from the use of this space, please reach out to the art department.
The studio is regularly maintained and supported by student workers. These positions offer valuable opportunities for students to assist their peers, gain technical experience, and pursue independent research or creative projects within a professional studio environment.
