Barbara DeLauter

Administrative Assistant

Barbara DeLauter is a mentor, organizer, process improver and theater enthusiast. At Seattle University, she served as a mentor in the Albers School of Business and Economics to undergraduate, bridge and graduate level students.

Most notably, she witnessed Yul Brynner in Rogers and Hammerstein's "The King and I" on stage in Washington, D.C. In Chicago, she saw Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera," Mike Nussbaum's "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" and several Second City shows in the mid '80s in Old Town, Chicago, when it was just a small room that sat under 100 guests. In Seattle, she has attended "Wicked The Musical," "The Nutcraker," Eve Ensler's "Vagina Monologues" and "The Good Body," and seen Lilly Tomlin multiple times. She hopes to score affordable tickets to "Hamilton" one day. DeLauter currently enjoys working with the theater and dance professors and guest artists. The most rewarding aspect of her work is working with and helping the students.
