At Whitman College, every student has a team of mentors assigned to them from day one. With academic advisors and career coaches assigned to you before your first year begins, you’ll have help developing a plan to explore a range of academic disciplines and consider how those studies will enhance and support your post-college goals.

Through reflection, goal-setting, and mentoring, your advising team helps turn your interests into action—through internships, research, leadership and postgraduate plans. Whitman College alum Julien Hernandez ’24 is taking the next step in his playing career, signing a pro contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. Hernandez joined the Diamondbacks’ Single-A affiliate, the Visalia Rawhide, in June.
