Energy and Matter: Exploring the Science behind the Science You Teach

June 14-16, 2016 (9am-4pm)

This summer we will explore the Phases of Matter, Chemical and Physical Changes, Properties of Matter and Circuits.  This workshop is designed to bring greater understanding to the science behind the Physics and Chemistry in the STC Kits taught in the elementary school classrooms.  Professor of Physics Kurt Hoffman and Assistant Professor of Chemistry Nate Boland will bring these two amazing subjects into clear view as we do hands on lab experiments that are both fun and eye-opening.

Please visit the link below to fill out an application if you are interested in joining us for this great workshop.  We will accept applications from teachers of every grade level.  Preference will be given to teachers at the elementary level.  This workshop meets the new State of Washington Professional Educator Standards Board STEM Renewal Requirements for Teachers.
