Events & Programming

The Division of Inclusive Excellence organizes and supervises many events for the campus community throughout the year, including:

• Third Space Speaker Series: Featuring scholars, artists, writers and thought leaders in dialogue with each other and with the Whitman community.
• Community Learning Days: Strategic learning sessions held for faculty and staff prior to the start of each semester.
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: An annual community celebration in collaboration with Walla Walla University and Walla Walla Community College.
• Power and Privilege Symposium: An annual student-led event designed to make space for conversations about structural oppression and how they manifest themselves on the Whitman College campus and beyond.
