IFSA-Butler: Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan
Through the Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University, Whitman students may study at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán in Mérida, Mexico. Mérida is a medium-sized colonial city on the Gulf of Mexico with a significant Mayan population. With major Mayan archeological sites in the vicinity, Mérida is particularly well suited for students interested in studying Mexico's indigenous populations or ancient archeology. The University also offers courses in the humanities and social sciences.
