Faidley Gets All-NWC First-Team Honors

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Chris Faidley, a senior on the Whitman College men's basketball team, has capped a superlative career by earning All-Northwest Conference First-Team honors.

Faidley, who led the NWC in scoring in each of the past two seasons, is one of seven players named to the first team in a vote of conference coaches.
Faidley finished his career as Whitman's second all-time leading scorer with 1,720 points. He also finished second on Whitman's all-time list for most career 3-point baskets with 297. He holds the school record for most 3-point baskets (91) in a single season.
A 6-foot-2 guard, Faidley topped the conference this season in both scoring at 20.4 points per game and 3-point baskets with 84. He finished second in free throw shooting at 85.3 percent and steals with 2.08 per game.
Faidley earned All-Second Team honors at the end of his junior season, after leading the conference in scoring at 22.4 points per game. He received Honorable Mention recognition as a sophomore, when he finished third in scoring at 16.9 points per game, trailing only teammate Kyle Born (19.5 ppg) and one other player. Faidley made 91 3-point baskets as a sophomore, setting a new single-season school record.
Faidley, who played his prep basketball at King's High School in Seattle, earned NWC Player-of-the-Week honors six times during his final three seasons.
