Student Curator Position

Sheehan Gallery located in Olin Hall at Whitman College is looking to fill a Student Curatorial position. The Student Curatorial Position is available to any Whitman College student for 50 hours a semester to help curate shows in the Memorial Building on campus.

Position Description:

A self-motivated student, enthusiastic about art is needed to help curate shows in the Memorial Building. Position would consist of 50 hours per semester contacting local artists, booking shows, planning events, designing publications, and assisting Exhibitions and Collections Manager in various gallery-related tasks.

Skills/Background:

Student should have a deep interest in The Arts
Good people skills
Good organizational skills
Good computer skills
Event planning capabilities
Some experience in hanging and arranging artwork (both 2-D and 3-D)
Punctuality
Keen sense of responsibility
