Whitman College Outdoor Program Open Kayak Pool Manager
Time frame: open until filled
Pay: Minimum wage
Hours: Mondays, 7:30-9:15 PM, Wednesdays, 9:30-11:00 PM, Thursday
9:00-11:00 PM
Task: Maintain equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Introduce beginners to the sport in a comfortable and supportive setting. Wet exits, basic paddling, and equipment fit and appropriate use will be the minimum teaching skills required. Advertise Open kayak sessions and develop student interest.Take direction from Assistant Director throughout the semester.
Qualifications: knowledge of basic kayaking skills. Ability to pay attention to safety with beginners in kayaks. Ability to maintain equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
