Position
Communications Video Editor

Duties
Student will take raw video footage and edit it to produce polished, professional videos for the Office of Communications. The student will work with writers, photographers, editors, Web personnel and graphic designers to produce videos that relate the institutional values of Whitman College in news stories, interviews, and event coverage. The student may also shoot video as needed. Assigned work will be intermittent as needs arise. If the student has a laptop with editing software, he/she may use this to perform assigned duties.
First project: Breaking up the 2012 Commencement and Baccalaureate video files into short sections for each speaker and posting them to Whitman's YouTube account.


Required
Work-study status; experience shooting video and editing footage using iMovie, Adobe Premiere or other editing software; enthusiasm for making polished, professional videos; and a high degree of responsibility and reliability.
