Assistant Mentor Intern
The Assistant Mentor Intern assists the Lead Mentor Intern with all aspects of the Whitman Mentors Program. Duties include mentor recruitment, selection and training, mentor/mentee matching, managing the Mentor Program budget, organizing transportation, corresponding with school contacts, and coordinating Mentor Meet Ups and Mentees to Campus Day.
Although there is no guarantee, this position is designed to train the Assistant Mentor Intern to eventually become the Lead Mentor Intern. All CCS Interns are also required, as time permits, to assist the other members of the CCS team with community service events throughout the year.
Qualifications
At least one year as a Whitman Mentor and an interest in strengthening the Mentor Program. In addition, the position requires an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-directed individual with good organization, communication, and decision-making skills.

1. What interests you most about the possibility of working for the Center for Community Service?
2. Please describe your strengths, skills, and the experiences that you think would enhance your performance as an intern in the CCS.
3. If you will you be abroad either Fall 2009 or Spring 2010, which semester will you be available as a CCS intern? (We prefer to hire interns who are available for the whole year, but will consider applications from students who will be available only one semester.)
4. If you are applying for more than one CCS Internship, please let us know which one you would prefer and why.
