WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Chris Faidley scored 24 points, all in the first half, as Whitman College rolled over Thompson Rivers University 110-68 in a men's exhibition game Sunday afternoon in Sherwood Center.

The game was Whitman's first outing since Dec. 6 but does not count toward its NCAA win-loss record. The Missionaries take a 3-4 record to Portland on Monday for a 7:30 p.m. game at Warner Pacific. Whitman then opens its Northwest Conference season next Friday and Saturday with home games against Pacific and George Fox.

Thompson Rivers (Kamloops, B.C.), which plays in the Pacific Division of the Canada West Athletic Association, is 2-10 on the season.

Whitman jumped on the Warlocks early, racing away to an 18-2 in the first four minutes of play. The Missionaries led 65-30 and led by as many as 51 points in the second half.

Faidley hit six of 11 shots from the 3-point line. As a team, Whitman was 15 of 30 from long distance.

All 11 Missionaries who played in the game made it into the scoring column. Faidley was one of seven players who scored nine or more points. Brandon Shaw combined eight assists with 13 points and five rebounds. Jordan Wheeler handed out seven assists.
