ACADEMIC RESOURCE CENTER TUTOR
The Academic Resource Center connects students who are competent in a specific subject with students who have requested additional assistance in that area. Tutor applicants must be available to work with the student(s) weekly. You can apply to be a tutor by downloading and filling out the Tutor Application (Available at the ARC, or on the CLEo website under ARC tutors.)
Subjects to be considered include Math, Science, Economics and Astronomy ONLY.

Once your application is received,a time will be scheduled to meet with Mary Claire Gegen, ARC Tutoring Program Director, for a brief individualized orientation to the Tutor Program. 1. Overall GPA of 3.0 or better
2. A grade of A or B for the course(s) you'll be tutoring
3. Faculty recommendation for the course(s) you will be tutoring.
4. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly explain course material
5. Available for tutoring sessions during times that coincide with the requesting student.
Hiring decisions will be based on applicant qualifications and program needs.
$10/hour for trained tutors (opportunities for training occur 3 times a year)
For untrained tutors, the current minimum wage applies.
