WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- For the second time this season, Whitman College senior Amy Hasson has been named Student Athlete of the Week (offense) for women's soccer.
Hasson capped a splendid four-year career last Saturday with two goals in a 4-1 season-ending victory over Willamette in Salem, Ore.

"It was great to see Amy finish her season with a flourish," Whitman coach Heather Cato says. "She was a tremendous offensive threat for us all season.
"As a coach, you never want to say goodbye to a player like Amy, but I am thankful I had the opportunity to coach her. Any honors that come Amy's way are well deserved."
Hasson, a midfielder known for a rare blend of speed, strength and hard-nosed determination, finished her senior campaign with 15 goals and five assists.
That ranks as the second-most prolific single-season scoring total at Whitman in more than two decades.
Hasson's second goal on Saturday was her fourth game-winning strike of the season. She led the NWC in that statistical category this fall.
Hasson, a Whitman team captain, also led the conference in total shots and shots on goal.
She finished second in the NWC in scoring, finishing one goal behind a player (Willamette's Stephanie Skelly) who played in one more game during the course of the season.
"Amy's value on the field went way beyond the goals she scored," Cato says.
"Her relentless effort all over the field created countless opportunities for her teammates. No one ever worked any harder than Amy."
