Mering Sets School Record in Butterfly as Whits Enter Final Day at Husky Invite

Federal Way, Wash. – As the Whitman swim team entered the final day of the prestigious Husky Invitational, junior Karl Mering has posted the biggest highlight of the meet so far, setting a school record in the 100 Butterfly preliminary with a time of 49.11 – that qualifies him for Nationals. Sam Starr also recorded a Personal Best in the 200 freestyle, as did Jennifer Tornay and Robby Dorn.
