Yotes Get Best of Wolves at Evanger Classic

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Running roughshod over Walla Walla University for the second time this season, College of Idaho pinned a 70-37 setback on the Wolves in Saturday's second game of the Kim Evanger Raney Memorial Classic in Sherwood Center on the Whitman College campus.

College of Idaho improved to 6-5 on the season while Walla Walla slipped to 1-11.

The tournament resumes Sunday with Whitman facing College of Idaho at 2 p.m. Menlo College and Walla Walla follow with the tournmant finale at 4 p.m.

Nicole Gall hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to power the College of Idaho. She also handed out five assists and made five steals.

The Yotes also got 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals from Tyra Rickman and 12 points, four rebounds and four assists from Katelin Shannon.

Nicke Parks led Walla Walla with 16 points and seven rebounds. Heather McFadden added seven points, six assists and two blocked shots.
