Men's Soccer Play to 1-1 draw against College of Idaho

Walla Walla, Wash. - After playing through two overtimes, the Men's Soccer team played to a tie against NAIA oppenent College of Idaho on Tuesday. Both teams had their chances throughout the second half and both overtimes, but the keepers stepped up to ensure a 1-1 draw.
After a scoreless first half, College of Idaho went out in front when Emilio Yomaha scored on the left side. After falling behind 1-0, Whitman upped its pressure and created several chances in the next ten minutes.
In the 61st minute, freshman Daniel Kim broke through and scored his first collegiate goal after receiving a pass over the top of the defense by Leland Matthaeus. Kim slotted his goal past the right side of keeper to knot the score at 1-1.
From the 61st minute until the end of the game, both goalies were called into action several times. Whitman goalie, Stuart Ellsworth made six saves in the contest, including three in overtime.
The Missionaries hit the road this weekend in Califronia to take on Occidental on Saturday and Chapman on Sunday.
