Graham Betchart: Mental Performance Coach
Graham Betchart is a professional sports psychology consultant for competitive athletes and a dynamic inspirational speaker. His passion lies in helping athletes train mentally so they can reach the next level in their career and in life.
Graham founded GB Performance Coaching in 2004 and for the past five years he developed mental skills training programs for high school, college, and professional athletes and teams. During his career, Graham coached and worked with athletes in several countries including China, Switzerland, and throughout the Caribbean.
Graham was a guest speaker for 24 Hour Fitness, Whitman University, Athletics and Academicsâ, The Feinberg Academic All American Basketball Game, and numerous basketball camps sponsored by NBA players.
Graham conducts an annual mental skills training program to help NBA, MLB, and NFL prospects mentally prepare for the pre-draft workouts and team interviews. He is the Executive Director of Athletics and Academicsâ Basketball Camps and works as a personal advisor to NBA veteran Adonal Foyle.
Graham began coaching basketball in 1998 and has invested the last six years developing and enhancing the boys basketball program at Mission High School in San Francisco. Graham played college basketball at UCSC and was the captain his senior year in 2001. Prior to that, he played basketball, football, and baseball, at Lowell High School in San Francisco.
Graham received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2001 and earned his masters degree in sports psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2008. Graham is a member of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology and resides in San Francisco with his fiancé Tina.
