Story Time Intern

The Story Time Project Intern is responsible for all aspects of the Story Time project. Duties include: recruiting, selecting, and training volunteer readers, matching readers with reading locations, organizing transportation, keeping the storybook library organized, managing the Story Time budget, and keeping the lines of communication open between the CCS office, volunteers, and community partners.

The Story time Project intern will be involved in the coordination of Dr. Seuss Day and other children's literacy programs.  All CCS Interns are also required, as time permits, to assist the other members of the CCS team with community service events throughout the year.

Qualifications: 

At least one semester as a Story Time Reader and an interest in strengthening the Story Time Project.  In addition, the position requires a self-directed individual with good organizational and communication skills, good problem-solving techniques, and a love of children's literature.

    2. Please describe your strengths, skills, and the experiences that you think would enhance your performance as an intern in the CCS office.
    3. If you will be abroad either Fall 2009 or Spring 2010, which semester will you be available as a CCS intern? (We prefer to hire interns who are available for the whole year, but will consider applications from students who will be available only one semester.)
    4. If you are applying for more than one CCS Internship, please let us know which position you would you prefer and why.
  3. Attach your resume to the e-mail (as a WORD or PDF attachment).
