IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE
Minutes for meeting of February 12, 1999

Members present: Tony Cabasco, Brian Dohe, Varga Fox, Walter Froese, Peter Harvey, Susan Healy, Deborah Hopkinson, Rich Jacks, Stephanie Johnson, Judy Ouimet, Ron Urban, Cindy Waring.

Susan obtained from each area a list of the people to be on the Application Module Teams together with the designated team leader.

Susan asked if there were any more changes to the schedule. Admission is going with their "Option 3" from last week's meeting, plus the changes noted in email to change one consulting day from September 22 to September 21. Walter also sent email with some schedule changes. Cindy noted that extra training days will have to be scheduled for one person (secretary) in each department for training on electronic timesheet entry, probably in May and June. Walter expressed the same concern regarding Accounts Payable.

All departments submitted their information about staffing needs and funding.

Susan asked if everyone had looked at Linda's interview notes. Apparently most people had and did not have any changes (other than Walter, who had sent email earlier). Cindy asked if people should respond even if they had no suggestions. Susan thought that would be a good idea so we know that people did look at the information.

Varga suggested including the URL when the Project Management Team sends out email noting material that had been added to the web page, to make it quicker to find the page in question. Several others agreed.

Stephanie and Varga would like to have the Datatel software installed on one or two computers in Penrose instead of having to go to Mem or Olin to practice.

Deborah requested a more detailed schedule for the process mapping workshop.

Offices that had not received their implementation manuals would like to have them as soon as possible (only Personnel and Business Office have them). These manuals have not yet been received from Datatel.

Susan thanked everyone for serving on the IPC, which is now disbanded, although many of the members will be on the new Implementation Planning Team, to be made up of the Application Module Team leaders, the Project Managers, a representative from Development and the Director of Administrative Technology.
