Description: Accurate and timely financial reporting through a proven fund accounting system is essential for every college and university. Colleague provides system that combines flexibility and precision to effectively automate the General Ledger within the guidelines recommended by NACUBO and AICPA. The GL module allows your institution to design your account structure and create the chart of accounts that will best suit your needs.
Purpose: The GL class provides users with the knowledge to make effective long term policy decisions regarding the implementation of Colleague, and the information to train other users in the effective use of the GL module. In addition, a portion of this class will be devoted to issues of particular interest to the Colleague Administrator, including: file structures, data flow, parameter set-up, module relationships, security provisions, and forms design.
