The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theatre Project
October 1 - 5 Freimann Stage

In a friendly American college town, a student is brutally murdered. Investigating the aftereffects of the Matthew Shepard tragedy, Tectonic Theatre Project creates "a mosaic as moving and important as any you will see on the walls of the churches of the world." John Simon, New York Magazine

The Time of Your Life by William Saroyan
October 23 - 26 Alexander Stage

San Francisco, 1939. The shadow of impending war hangs over Nick's Pacific Street Saloon. Saroyan's gentle and rueful comedy explores "the effect of contemporary reality on the little and unknown human beings of the world, and their natural inclination to live gracefully and decently."

The Afghan Women by William Mastrosimone
November 12 - 16 Freimann Stage
A new play from the author of Extremities. In the aftermath of the Taliban War, a naive young American doctor challenges a charismatic, seasoned warlord to protect the orphans in her care. What ensues is a compelling relationship and a jihad much stronger than she has anticipated.

Radio Gals by Mike Craver and Mark Hardwick
December 11 - 14 Alexander Stage

Don't touch that dial! It's 1929 (before the crash) and Hazel Hunt and her "all-girl" orchestra, the Hazelnuts, are broadcasting to you from her living room in Cedar Ridge, Arkansas. A rollicking musical "tribute to the pure, lighthearted innocence that was once America, and may still be lurking somewhere deep in our hearts." Hoyt Hilsman, Variety

Annual Student One-Act Play Contest
 February 4 - 8 Freimann Stage

Students submit original scripts. Three are selected to compete for cash prizes. You, the audience, are the judge.

Pride and Prejudice adapted from Jane Austen by Kamella Tate
March 4 - 7 Alexander Stage

A new staging of Jane Austen's beloved novel. In a world that values money over feeling, the redoubtable Mrs. Bennett seeks rich husbands for her five dowerless daughters. The independent Miss Elizabeth Bennett and the aloof Mr. Darcy must navigate the pitfalls of society, family, and their own foibles on the dangerous road to love.

Venecia by Jorge Accame
April 14 - 18

La Gringa, the blind proprietress of a brothel in an isolated and impoverished Argentinean town, is dying. Her last wish is to visit Venice, the beautiful city on water where she fancies her lost love awaits her. Though her girls have never seen an airplane and can hardly afford a ticket, they devise a fantastic journey to make La Gringa's dream come true.
