Productions on the Freimann Stage begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and have 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday. The Instant Play Festival!
September 27-28 Alenander Stage
 
Seven instant plays each evening. After three weeks of workshops with professional playwrights Kristen Kosmas, Nick Zagone, and Kia Corthron, students will receive a theme in the evening and write a play for rehearsal the following afternoon and performance that night.
 
Our Town by Thornton Wilder
October 23-26 Alexander Stage
 
A requiem for an America that may never have existed, this stage treasure attempts, in the words of the playwright, "to find a value above all price for the smallest events in our daily life."
 
Perfect Pie by Judith Thompson
November 12-16 Freimann Stage
 
In this play from Canada, a rhubarb pie and a cassette tape bring together two childhood friends, estranged for thirty years, to confront the terrifying event that separated them and rediscover the grace of friendship.

From Soviet Russia, a darkly comic fable of innocence and corruption. A young scholar, visiting a kingdom where "all they tell you in fairy tales happens every day," longs to marry its princess but is betrayed by his own shadow.
 
Annual Student One-Act Play Contest
February 11 - 15 Freimann Stage
 
Students submit original scripts. A chosen three compete for cash prizes. You are the judge.

March 5 - 8 Alexander Stage
 
 The best-selling author traces the journey of an Iranian Jewish family from the Teheran ghetto to Los Angeles, beginning with Roxanna the Angel. When her mother pushes this "bad luck daughter" from the rooftop, Roxanna discovers she can fly.
 
Medea's Children by Per Lysander and Suzanne Osten
April 8 - 12 Freimann Stage
 
This contemporary classic from Sweden views the story of Medea and Jason through the eyes of their children. Little Jason and Little Medea take us on a moving, often funny journey into the real world of children torn apart by divorce.

May 7-10, 21, 22 Alexander Stage
 
Budapest, 1930, an elegant parfumerie where two clerks, Georg and Amalia, constantly squabble during their workday. What they don't know is that they are passionate pen pals by night, having answered the same lonely-hearts ad. This romantic musical gem is "one love affair that has only grown deeper with time."
