Classes of 1980 & 1985 - Thanks for stopping by the house during their Fall 2000 reunions. This was the best alumni turnout in a very long time. I appreciated hearing about the relocation of our favorite neighbor's table and "putting out the fire" with the Phi's. It was noted that the house looked the same as it did in 1980.

Robert Bailey #1095 - Class of 1990

I am currently a Research Assistant in the Biochemisty/Biophysics Department at Washington State University Graduate School. I am married to Suzanne White Bailey, one of the last Order of Diana. I enjoy running, climbing, and fishing. I am hoping to finish my PhD. within a year or two.

Histor's note: I would like to thank Frater Bailey and his wife for stopping by 949 E. Isaacs last weekend (March 7, 1998). I enjoyed the visit and I encourage other alumns to stop by when they can.

Scott Fletcher #1206 - Class of 1994

I am working as a sales and marketing manager for my family's firm, Dow Fletcher and Associates. We design and build hotels. My current family consists of Chris Lee ('90), Andrew Snyder ('91) and Andrew Schillinger ('96). I enjoy skiing, beer pong and playin' hoops. I am engaged to be married in September 1998 to Se Lee ('93). I am also in the process of starting a financial lending institution. I expect it to be open by the end of the year.

John Monter ("O-Fee") #663 - Class of 1970

I'm currently the chair of the State Bar Assn. Court Rules and Procedures Committe, on the executive board of the Criminal Law Section, and am a supervising attorney in the Criminal Division of the office. In the last 20 years, I have personally sent a number of folk to reside at the WSP, located just west of the city. Many of them are still there.

If anyone there (at Whitman) is thinking of a legal career (practice of law), I would invite them to contact me or I could come address the group. In my spare time I also officiate High School football games, and enjoy motor racing and building model aircraft. Please attend the Yakima Airfare August 1-2, 1998, featuring the Canadian Jet Demo Team, the Snowbirds.

William W. Montgomery III #475 - Class of 1961

Frater Montgomery writes, "I retired in June, 1996, after 33 years teaching in the state of Washington at Kent-Meridian High School , Kent School District 415." Among his hobbies and achievments, he listed the following: Scoutmaster Troop 166 BSA 1961-present, Secretary Treasurer Happy Hikers Sno-King Co., Convener Regional Ministry Diocese of Olympia (Episcopal), and an advisor to the Kent delegation of the YMCA Youth and Government Program.

Daniel R. Lindsey #473 - Class of 1961

Frater Lindsey included a lot great information about his friends and family. He is married to Susan Vinyard (Whitman '61 - Kappa Kappa Gamma). They have a son David (WSU) and two daughters: Lisa (Whitman '90 - Kappa Alpha Theta) and Mary (Whitman '92 - Kappa Alpha Theta), both Sweethearts of TKE. Lisa is married to Chuck Rutledy (Alpha Theta '93) and they will have their first child in April! Frater Lindsey also has 3 step children and a sister married to Bill Hearox (Alpha Theta '63).

Frater Lindsey is a retired educator who currently enjoys birding, photography, jazz, politics, and sailing. He regretfully informs us that is boat is for sale too.

One of Frater Lindsey's proudest moments was in 1991, when he was awarded outstanding Alumnus!!!

Ken Fein ("Smokey the Bear") #692 - Class of 1971

Frater Fein is currently an engineer for the Hanford contractor in Richland, Washington. He also writes that he is the "owner/operator of a berry/pumpkin/cow farm, two Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Stores and a Comfort Inn."

Frater Fein is also married and has two daughters, Cindy, who is a graduate of MIT and Carolyn who is about to graduate from Evergreen, in Olympia.

Ken writes that, along with his wife, they "raised their daughters on this farm - splitting wood, feeding the cows, moving sprinklers, selling berries and pumpkins. That was a lot of fun."

Dr. Harold B. Valentine #314 - Class of 1951

Frater Valentine is currently retired. He enjoys golf, hiking, travel and singing. He is also married, has two daughters and five grandchildren.

Webmaster's Note: I ran into Frater Valentine at the 2001 Street of Dreams in Auburn. He is one of (at least) 4 TKEs in his family and
a number of relatives attended Whitman. We had a very nice conversation.

Kent Williams #729 - Class of 1972

Frater Williams writes that he "just retired after 23 years in medical sales and sales management." He enjoys reading, meditation, bicycling, golf and travel.

He also writes, "I have just voluntarily retired from corporate life and am moving to a cabin in the woods in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Bye-bye Rat Race!!! I like the new color of the house."
