excelMonday, March 3rd -- Advanced Excel Workshop

Proficiency in Excel is an important skill that is consistently required in professional environments around the world. Brought back by popular demand, this workshop with WCTS builds on last week's workshop, using real-world examples to practice Excel functions and formatting.

Change CorpsMonday and Tuesday, March 3rd and 4th -- Change Corps on campus

Building on last week's workshop, Kim Rolfe and Kyle Scott will delve deeper into advanced use of LinkedIn - groups, jobs, and strategies for building your network.

Friday, March 7th -- Mentees to Campus Day

The Whitman Mentor Program is gearing up for another Mentees to Campus Day, celebrating another year of mentoring. Read about last year's event in this Community Service Intern Blog post by Allison Burns. 

Monday, March 10th -- Koru Info Sessions
4:00pm and 6:30pm in Mem 324. Snacks will be provided.

Koru

Koru provides college students with with hands-on work experiences and coaching inside innovative, high-growth companies. Students have loved their experiences with this organization, socome learn how you can get involved.

Haroon UllahWednesday, March 12th -- Lunch with Haroon ullah:  Working for the U.S. Secretary of State

Haroon Ullah '99 is a scholar, diplomat, and author who joined the U.S. Secretary of State Policy Planning Staff in November 2013. His portfolio includes Countering Violent Extremism and Public Diplomacy. Previously, he served as Director of the Community Engagement Office at the US Embassy in Islamabad. Join Haroon for lunch - space is limited!

A generous donation has established the Alexander von Humboldt Internship Fund to fund even more internship opportunities! We're excited to see your applications for the internship grant, which are due right after spring break on Wednesday, April 2nd.

Assistant Dean Noah Leavitt is holding drop-in hours for students who would like help polishing their applications:
Wednesday, March 5th: 3:00pm - 4:00pm 

Director of Career Development Susan Buchanan also has internship drop-in hours:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 3:30 - 4:45pm

Learn how to convert your convictions into a career
Whitman Social Entrepreneurship Clinic

Jonathan Lewis will be coming to campus to conduct his prestigious Social Entrepreneurship Clinic. There will be evening sessions (7:00pm) open to the public on Monday March 31 and Tuesday April 1.

Sign up to Teach the Movement
Whitman Teaches the Movement: César Chávez

WTTM is looking for volunteers to teach Walla Walla high school students about César Chávez and the United Farm Workers Movement. Students will watch the documentary Viva la Causa and engage in small group activities and discussions facilitated by Whitman volunteers. All training and curriculum will be provided by WTTM.
