WW County Health

Mission: To improve the quality of life for our community through disease prevention, health promotion and public health protection.

Community Fellow

Walla Walla County has staff that supports public health programs with skills in epidemiology, Geographic Information Systems, data analysis, survey development, and a variety of medical specialties. They have worked with students from all three of Walla Walla County's centers of higher education and from surrounding counties. Students have conducted research, provided data analysis, produced reports that enhanced the health of our community, and worked with our staff in public outreach. In the process of a fellowship, the Health Department hopes to develop additional analytic skills, along with the skills to work effectively in small groups and with the public. We find the intellect and energy of students that have worked here to be invigorating and rewarding for our department as we see them acquire additional insight into what they would like to do in the future.
