Women in Leadership 2013

Women in Leadership Poster

Mobile apps, wealth management, organic farming and urban development are just some of the careers which will be discussed at Whitman's annual Women in Leadership Symposium, which takes place on Oct. 22 in the Young Ballroom.

The first symposium took place in 1981, and almost every year since then has been sponsored by Seattle-based philanthropist and Trustee Emerita Colleen Willoughby '55. Women in Leadership brings successful women leaders to campus to help inspire future alumnae and provide role models for a diverse range of professions.

This year's speakers are: Katherine Anderson, the owner of Marigold and Mint organic farm, a floral designer and a writer; Virginia Anderson, former director of the Seattle Center and Chair of the Board of Cornish School; and Kathleen Weber, director of the Weber Nagan Group of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and co-founder of BooksILove.
