Internships

Whitman Internship Funding and Opportunities

   Whitman Internship Grant ($2500) - Apply with any unpaid summer internship experience (create your own!)

   Ben Rabinowitz Award ($2500) - Submit your project idea to promote compassion in medicine or politics on campus.

   Explore Previous Internships - Find out what previous Whitties have done with their summer internship funding

   Whitties Helping Whitties Pilot - Will you be in Seattle over winter break? The SEC will be piloting our first "Whitties Helping Whitties" session to connect students and recent graduates to area industries and alumni working in those industries, part of our new internship hub program. For more information, contact Kim Rolfe at rolfekb@whitman.edu.

Friday, December 6th -- Deep Dive Internship Program (info session)
12pm - 1pm, Reid G02

Join Nancy Long (Executive Director for 501 Commons) and learn about this new innovative program that has partnered with Sherwood Trust in Walla Walla. Selected students will serve as Technology Planning Consultants, designing new technology strategies to optimize the impact of local Walla Walla organizations. Application details can be found here.

Wednesday, December 11th -- Find a Summer Internship over Winter Break
4:00 - 5:00pm, Reid G02

This workshop will focus on strategies to use your time over Winter Break to find a great summer internship. This year the SEC will be significantly expanding the summer internship program - find out more about internship funding online.

Saturday, December 14th -- Adopt-A-Family Holiday Drive

Come eat donuts, drink coffee, and wrap holiday gifts for families in the Adopt-a-Family holiday program!

Blue Mountain Heart to Heart and the Health Center found local families in need, and the Whitman community came together and all families have been adopted! That's over 100 individuals, totaling over $3000 committed. Thank you!
