Three SEC tips for the summer
- CONNECT - Wherever you are over the summer, you will be surrounded by networking resources, many of which can be surprising. Parents, friends of parents, employers, coworkers - all these and more can help you on your journey, or know someone that could. Ask about their interests, be prepared to share your own, and follow up - get business cards!
- REFLECT - As you work or volunteer over the summer, reflect on the skills you are developing. These skills can be helpful stepping stones for your future internships or jobs.
- USE - The SEC resources. We can help you polish your resume, update your LinkedIn profile, or reflect on your experiences. Call us, email us, or explore our website.
We're always here for you!

The Student Engagement Center brings together Career Development and Community Service to give students quality experiences that nurture and grow their interests and skills. We talk about the SEC as being Whitman's "one stop shop" for internships, career counseling, networking leads, resume help, volunteer opportunities, and much much more.
