College Coaches

College Coaches is a Whitman Community Service Office program that connects volunteers with unique opportunities to serve in the Walla Walla public secondary schools:

  1. with individual students who are seeking a mentor figure to help them become college bound and
  2. with academic support classrooms where students are struggling to adapt to high school academics and require additional support

Both are excellent experiences for aspiring educators, TFA corps members, and those in the Whitman community who are frustrated by education inequity.

Volunteers sign up at the beginning of each semester and contribute one hour/week to the program. However, even if we are in the middle of a semester, don't hesitate to get in touch with Program Intern Natalie Pond -- I would love to answer any questions you have and have a conversation about the amazing work we are doing.
