First residence hall section meetings
Fall orientation is an extensive 5-day program which includes a wide variety of activities. There are a number of events planned specifically for new students as well as events to which the entire campus community is invited to attend. In order to prepare you for your on-campus arrival in August, we mail a comprehensive packet of information to all new students which we refer to as the New Student Orientation Packet.
The New Student Orientation Packet, which is posted the third week of May, contains very important information on topics including registration and class selection, medical history forms, a Scrambles (optional wilderness orientation programs) registration form and much more.
The New Student Orientation Packet also includes instructions on how to complete the following three tasks, which we ask all new students to complete as soon as possible once the mailing is received:
- Activate your Whitman network account
- Complete applicable Placement Tests (Foreign Languages, Mathematics and Chemistry)
- Complete the online advising questionnaire
Please open and carefully review all of the May Orientation Packet information as soon as it arrives. If you have any questions about the mailing, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com.
