Greek Leader Training

In January, new chapter officers are invited to participate in a two-and-a half day training program to prepare them for their new officer responsibilities. A variety of campus and community presenters share their areas of expertise with the Greek Leaders during this training. Topics covered during training include:

• Alcohol/Drug Issues
• Award for Excellence Review
• Campus Resources
• Conflict Management
• Creating Positive Public Relations
• Greek Life at Whitman College
• Identifying Issues and Intervening
• Leadership Issues
• Risk Management and Liability
• Sexual Misconduct Issues
• Working with Greek Faculty Advisors
• Working with Panhellenic and IFC
• Working with Police, Fire and Security

 Chapter presidents also receive regular in-service training throughout their term in office at the weekly Greek leader meetings held Mondays at 5:00 p.m.
