With over 140 Years of history and over 220 chapters in its ranks, Sigma Chi is one of the oldest and largest Greek organizations in existence today. The Annual Leadership Training Conference this past summer was the largest assembly of a Greek organization in history, with 1500 Sigma Chi members meeting at Kansas State University. Since its founding in 1855, Sigma Chi has initiated over 230,000 men, of whom 186,000 are still living out the dreams and ambitions built during their college years. With Strong Heritage, Sigma Chi is a network of dedicated, high-minded men. The tradition of Sigma Chi nationwide is one of bettering the individual, a heritage of personal success, something that has been continued at Whitman College.
