Friday, April 3 - Sunday, May 1, 1998
Kyoung Ae Cho was born in 1963 in Onyang, South Korea. After studying textiles as an undergraduate in Korea, she received an MFA in Fiber from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. She is now on the faculty of the Kansas City Art Institute. She says, "My works are produced as a result of conversation between myself and nature. In the process I examine nature to understand its language through shape, pattern, color, texture, scale and its constant changes." The exhibit includes a large selection of fiber and natural material-based sculpture as well as a monumental work created on-site specifically for this exhibit.
