you might need while at the tournament |
There is a phone next to the information desk. Dial 9 first
to get out.
There is a phone in the skinny lounge area near the
elevator. Dial 7 or 9 first to get out.
There is a phone next to the elevator on each floor in the Hunter
building. Dial 7 or 9 to get out.
There are phones in the first floors of Olin and Maxey. Dial
9 to get out.
Long distance call—you’ll need to use your calling card.
Head downstairs for the cash machine. After you finish
climbing down the stairs, make a right into the hallway and you’ll see it near
the end.
You should access the internet as a guest.

COMPUTERS can be connected at once in the same location. SO—WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO
AVOID CONNECTING IN THE REID BALLROOM.

BALLROOM, THERE ARE ETHERNET PORTS. USE THESE FOR GUARANTEED ACCESS.
Go to Olin 180. We have a mini-store of Whitman items you
can purchase at reasonable prices.

PHOTOCOPYING
GO TO STAPLES. Get to Staples by going east on
Your coach can do photocopying for you in the Library if
needed.
Sorry, but due to problems we’ve had in the past, the
library is available only to students with an adult chaperone such as a head
coach.
You can access most of Whitman library’s materials by using
one of the computers in Olin 181 (fee is $1 plus 5 cents per page you print).
If you include your email address in the sign-in at the end of these pages, you
will also receive an email with the user name and password for a wireless
connection to our internet.
Go to the Cordiner building in the back—Cordiner Basement
West. Look for signs.
In front of Cordiner, the large building across the street
from Reid, the main location of the tournament.
You can put your evidence into Olin 130 or into Reid
Ballroom on Thursday or Friday night.
The main awards occurs in Cordiner Auditorium.
The late debate elim awards occur in Olin 130.
For those of you in Debate, Extemp, and Impromptu—bring a timer. We will also sell timers
($10 each) at the Computer Tech Room.

· If you have a serious problem--call
911--to do this from a building phone, you must dial 7-911.
· Note--if you need to get to a
phone--the Residence Hall doors are open except late at night and there are
phones there. There are also phones by
the outdoor tennis courts.
The person there
will answer you.
If you are elsewhere, just ask one of the Whitman Speech and Debate Team
members.
