MAXEY GUIDE

Friday, 7:45am to 5:15pm

Hi

I'm very glad to have you on board for this year's tournament.

In your job, it is important that you be nice, helpful, and supportive to the kids, coaches, and judges. Your exchanges with these folks is the number one impression they get of the college and specifically of our debate program.

These folks tend to be kind of "spaced out" in their own tournament world but they're also smart and almost always cooperative and helpful.

YOU SHOULD BE IN THE HUNTER FOYER AT 7:45AM on FRIDAY to tell me that you are starting.

When you come to the ballroom, come up to me and tell me your name and job.

Note that the tournament, particularly in the morning can be a bit crazy, especially for me.

So, I may be a bit delayed/distracted.

GIVE ME YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER BEFORE YOU HEAD TO MAXEY.

WHAT KIND OF CLOTHES TO WEAR?

Casual nice/Casual. No need for anything fancy but I would prefer you look neat and ready to help people!

MAKE SURE YOU ARE WEARING A NAME TAG CLEARLY MARKING YOU AS A GUIDE
