AIR TRAVEL TO WHITMAN’S TOURNAMENT

WALLA WALLA AIRPORT: Walla Walla’s airport is 10 minutes away from campus and most of the Walla Walla hotels.
If you wish AND you inform us at least 3 days before you arrive, we will provide free transportation to and from the Walla Walla airport and between the hotel and tournament in a Whitman van, driven by a safety certified driver.

PASCO AIRPORT: Pasco’s airport is 55 minutes away from campus and most of the Walla Walla hotels.
If you wish AND you inform us at least 3 days before you arrive, we will provide transportation to and from the Pasco airport and between the hotel and tournament in a Whitman van, driven by a safety certified driver for $100. This fee is waived if you are a team bringing a championship LD or Policy debater from outside WA-OR-ID.

PORTLAND AND SPOKANE AIRPORT: We don’t provide a shuttle for these airports BUT they can be a cheap alternative. For California teams, Portland can be very low priced and the drive through the Columbia Gorge very beautiful. We do not provide transportation to these airports. If you do fly into Spokane, we recommend taking Highway 395 through Pasco; it is a safer road during the winter.
PORTLAND AIRPORT: 4 hours away; SPOKANE AIRPORT: 3 hours away.

IMPORTANT—TEAMS OUTSIDE OF WA-OR-ID-CA-UT: You need to contact Jim Hanson at hansonjb@whitman.edu at least one month before the tournament and, as is true for all teams at the tournament, you must travel with a coach who is a certified teacher, per WSFA and WIAA rules governing our tournament. “Independent” Teams are not permitted.
