Preparation before Camp?
Debaters are welcome to
prepare materials prior to coming to camp but are not required to.
Debaters who bring evidence to
camp should note: all evidence used in camp debates and practices must be
available to all other campers.
Policy Topic 2009 Camp
Policy Debaters will research,
prepare, and debate the 2009-10 NFL Policy topic.
Resolved: The United States federal government should
substantially increase social services for persons living in poverty in the
United States.
LD Topics 2009 Camp
LD will research, prepare, and
debate the 2009-10 NFL LD topics.
A. Resolved: Governments have an obligation to pursue
and disclose the truth regarding suspected crimes by previous
administrations.
B. Resolved: In the United States, the principle of
jury nullification is a just check on government.
C. Resolved: Public health concerns warrant government
violation of pharmaceutical patents.
D. Resolved: It
is just for highly indebted poor countries to repudiate their debt.
E. Resolved: Economic sanctions ought not be used to
achieve foreign policy objectives.
F. Resolved: A just government ought to guarantee
adequate housing for all of its citizens.
G. Resolved: Records of an individual's home Internet
use ought to be protected from unreasonable search and seizure by the
government.
H. Resolved: States ought not possess nuclear weapons.
I. Resolved: Public health concerns justify compulsory
immunization.
J. Resolved: Compulsory inclusion of non-felons' DNA in

Public Topics 2009 Camp
Public Forum Debaters will
research, prepare, and debate three current issue topics.
The United States should implement a cap-and-trade
system to reduce C02 emissions to 1990 levels.
The U.S. should provide universal health coverage for
all US citizens.
The US should end sanctions on Iran in exchange for
Iran ending its nuclear program.
