MOVE-IN TO THE DORM PEOPLE

1. You work 11am to midnight on Saturday with breaks. You work 11am to 6pm on Sunday.

2. GREETING STUDENTS

·        Actively seek out students and parents. YOU SHOULD GREET EACH AND EVERY STUDENT/FAMILY ENTERING THE RESIDENCE HALL WITH A “HELLO, WELCOME TO THE WNDI RESIDENCE HALL.”

·        Help students find their rooms.

·        Talk with students and make sure they inform you of any damage to the fans, fridges, or rooms so that we know they didn’t cause it.

·        Saturday before 4pm—When a kid moves in, you will need to put 2 fans (3 if it is a triple room) and 1 fridge into their room.

·        Help students carry their items to their rooms EXCEPT DO NOT CARRY ANY EXPENSIVE ITEM (worth $100 or more).

PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE MOVE-IN TABLE IN THE ENTRY RIGHT WHERE THE DOORS OPEN. PUT IT IN THE LARGER LOUNGE SO YOU DON’T BLOCK TRAFFIC.

3. Help students with questions that they have

4. Keep order in the lounge

5. Saturday late afternoon, work study students will help you move the rest of the fans and fridges into the remaining rooms. You are in charge of getting the work study students to help with this and to help newly arriving students into their rooms.

Fans and fridges are located in the Lyman and Fans are located in the Douglas lounge (Douglas rooms do not get a fridge—they already have a fridge).

Bedding items are in the Hunter Foyer—they were supposed to pick them up there.
