1. On Friday night or
Saturday at 11am, meet with Jim to setup your work.
MAKE SURE YOU GET ABOUT 10 PENS for students to use when
checking in.
2. On Saturday at 11am,
Setup six Tables in the Foyer of Hunter. Four tables with two chairs is for you—where people come to you to get their materials.
The other two tables are for students to fill out the forms you give them.
3. Get the instruction sheet
and materials from Jim on how to handle check-in. You need to do a run through
of students/coaches to make sure you have the process down right.
4. Setup the packets and
maps and keys etc. on one of the two tables.
5. When you give out
keys—tell them to wiggle it in the doorknob if it does not work at first.
6. Handle Check-In per the
instruction sheets that Jim gives you.
7. MAKE SURE THAT STUDENTS
WHO CAME TO CAMP WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS HAVE CALLED THEIR PARENTS TO CONFIRM
THAT THEY HAVE ARRIVED (TELL THEM JIM MAKES YOU CONFIRM THAT THEY CALLED). Why do we do this? Because Jim gets calls
and emails from panicked parents: Did my son/daughter make it? Why didn’t you
inform me? Etc.
8. Email Rob, Jim, Eric,
etc. with the names of students that have arrived per the schedule noted on the
Check-In sheet.
9. You work 11am to midnight
on Saturday with some breaks. You work 11am to 6pm on Sunday.
10. Make sure we get you
lunch and dinner. You deserve it.
11. Please help Jim out when
he needs it including if he needs help getting things done needed for the camp.
In the event that you work more than the time noted, tell Jim; you will be
compensated extra.
