Carl Rice

Octafinals at the Meangreen Workshops tournament (UNT). However, this octafinals appearance tells how good the Whitman novice program is as basically Whitman's novice program was the last big debating opportunity for me.  So essentially, I transitioned directly from Whitman's novice program to being the 4th best team in UNTs Junior Scholars lab that consisted of 30 kids. 2007 NFL National Tournament-11th speaker in policy debate out of 388 speakers; he & his partner made it to the 10th round. Jan. 2007-CSU (Cal State University) Fullerton-1st place speaker out of 160 speakers.

Megan Floto

This year went pretty well.  I cannot tell you how much I benefited from last summer's camp.  I learned so much and gained a few really good friends with whom I still keep in touch.  I am off to a private woman's college in VA in two weeks, and I think all the debate stuff on my transcript really helped with scholarship money.  Debate was also a big attraction for the church admin who hired me for the summer.  So thank you for setting up such a wonderful camp.  It was truly life-changing.
