Hunter Floor Plan, Debate Floor (3rd Floor)

Hunter Building

The Hunter Conservatory is the home of the Rhetoric and Film Studies Department. After a major remodel, the building re-opened in late July 1998 and was given a nice touchup during the summer of 2005. The building features the latest digital film equipment, computer technology, handsome woodwork throughout, and a beautiful atrium in its spacious foyer.

The Third Floor (shown to the left) is where the Speech and Debate Program is housed with 3 Prep Rooms with 6 computers each plus a Video Practice and Storage Room.

Jim Hanson, Professor of Forensics, has an office on this 3rd “Debate” Floor.

Robert Sickels, Film Professor, has an office on the 4th Floor

Bob Withycombe Rhetoric Professor, has an office on the 2nd Floor

There is the beautiful Kimball Auditorium on the second floor where many film classes are taught (and films shown)

The 205 seminar room (right beneath Jim’s office) where a number of Rhetoric courses are taught.

On the ground floor, Hunter 107 is home to the Public Address course and more rhetoric courses. It has a laptop, projector, VCR and DVD player.

Also on that floor are the Multimedia and Film Labs with amazing technology to produce films as well as color printouts and other advanced media.
