The Study of Rhetoric and Film Studies can help you in a number of ways:

1. You become more aware of how communication works in speech, film, written texts, advertisements, television, legal decisions, political arguments.

2. For Rhetoric-Argument-Public Policy Issues Oriented Students, your resume shows you have communication skills, an understanding of key arguments and issues, and sophisticated thinking about argument and rhetoric.

3. For Film Studies oriented issues, your resume shows you have a strong knowledge of film studies, how film interconnects with culture, and a deeper understanding of the role film plays in our media oriented culture.

4. You learn theoretical concepts that enhance your understanding of politics, sociology, history, and many other areas of study.

5. You have the knowledge for jobs that require you to analyze communication such as being a lawyer, film maker, professor, political and social activist.

 

 

Keola Whittaker minored in Rhetoric and served as ASWC President. Keola used his rhetorical knowledge at the Pennsylvania University Law School and now as a lawyer in New York.
